A drug driver who racially abused a police officer said he was “disgusted” in himself. Lee Hudson was caught behind the wheel of a Ford Transit van with seven micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahdrocannabinol (THC) - a component of cannabis - in his system. A man who ran away from police while holding a machete said his “head felt muddled” after drinking cans of lager. Malcolm Davison, of Grasby Close, Middlesbrough, picked up a 12 inch “machete” blade and after hearing a police officer call for further assistance ran away and hid the weapon under a parked vehicle. Hayley Overton, of Petch Close, Middlesbrough, assaulted two police officers after she followed them out the door of her property.
